My compaq was the worst computer I've ever owned. And their tech support is a total joke. Seriously. My computer may have been a fluke, but the support wasn't. They are just plain terrible.

Well my ac adapter for my Thinkpad T41 broke (tested it, nothing is outputting from it so pretty sure it's dead). Does anyone know any good places to buy adapters (other than IBM). If possible it'd be cool if I could get a pretty...

Build quality/reliability does factor into cost. Otherwise I'd be retarded for spending $2000 on a Thinkpad (though it's almost the same cost as my old Compaq + 3 year warranty :\) I've seen the emachines at Best Buy... which is why...
Timbuk2 makes really nice bags, I have one, really like it, but yea dunno if it's worth the $100.
I haven't heard good things about the Z1 or Sony at all. Anywhere (computers). I was going to buy a Z1 back in the day but yea, the prettiness isn't worth getting a subpar computer for 2000+
