I am replacing the hinges on my 5350 and now I am trying to take apart the LCD so I can remove the hinges. My problem is that I have removed the 4 screws around the cover and it still will not come apart. What am I missing? Thanks...

I am wondering does anyone know of a site that shows how to disassemble a Gateway Solo 5350 or 5300? I found the hinges with help from this site. I just need to know how to tear her down now. I just need to replace the hinges.

I found a place that has the hinges for $65. Does anyone know of a site that can help me with tearing apart a Sole 5300 series notebook?

I want to try it myself. I need to find a site that show how to tear it apart because right now I am a little worried about bracking something if I pull to hard.

The notebook is only a few years old. It is a Gateway Solo 5350. From what I have been told the hinges are not ajustalbe. What gets to me though is that i can undo the screw that holds a hinge to the base and the hinges will not come...

Anyone know of a temp fix? I am getting quotes of $150 to $200 to fix it. I am just not sure if I want to fix it or not. I wish I could find the repair manual for it so I can see how to fix it.
