lately whenever i right click on a tray icon to get its context menu, i get both the relevant icon's menu AND the task bar context menu on top of each other - which pretty much makes it impossible to accurately click on either of them....
would it work? is SATA backwards compatible with IDE?
I found a sweet deal on a 500GB SATA 3.5" drive, but can't find a SATA enclosure at a nice price. enclosure must be firewire400 and USB2 combo.

bubble-wrap 5 inches thick on all sides (especially the ends!) in a box with foam peanuts to stop it moving around. if you're really paranoid you could put that in another box with more peanuts.
are you using the usb bt dongle that came with the mx5000? its seems most of the ppl who have problems with mx5000 are the ones who use that dongle. i never used it and my mx5000 is fine. try replacing it with a cheapo one from bestbuy...

hotkeys, that'll kill/start setpoint and tweak pointer speed settings.
well, i sort of got around the problem by making a hotkey script with autohotkey, to kill or launch setpoint, and set mouse speed for whether i'm using touchpad or mouse.
