So you used metal polish to clean the plastic? And you said you didn't want to spend $70 for a new palm rest...this cleaner is nearly $40! Unless I'm missing something, I definitely wouldn't be using a metal polish on the plastic...

As with most other companies, it isn't always very simple to modify an order that has already been placed and in production. Maybe you should have chosen expedited shipping from the get go. I wouldn't blame Dell for this, you are lucky...
