like i said basically change your power scheme to always on.. that should change and keep your CPU at full speed and constant with no decrease in speed using AC or battery
right using the trusty search bit of this forum i found out that all centrino's should be equipped with intels speedstep technology...
speedstep technology dynamically decreases the clock speed in terms of the task at hand... also...
and also one last thing, AMD is equipped with powernow. Powernow decreases/increases cpu speed depending on the demands of what you are doing...

dont need no program, just change your power scheme to always on.. should do the trick mine keeps at a nice max speed of 1.83ghz
once your on AC jus change it back to maximal power save so the AMD can save power by adjusting it speed...
