okay, i got the hard drive out. you have to pry off the keyboard (i did not know) from the top then there are 2 screws underneath that, remove some ribbons and the top plate comes off easily afterwards. hope this helps anyone else out...

I'm having extreme difficulty opening up a SONY PCG-Z1WAP laptop right now to replace the hard drive. I've seen some tutorials online for swaping the hard drives out of sony laptops, but none for this specific model -- can anyone help here?
