Did you do anything to the BIOS? (i.e did you ENABLE "Execute Disable Bit"?) If you enable that function in the BIOS, your computer will not resume from Standby.

Have you tried the latest drivers from the Asus website? It also helps if you raise the volume with the equilizer using the Sound Effect Manager in the control panel.

Any wireless router should suffice... most popular brands would be Linksys, D-Link, and NetGear. From my own personal experience, the Linksys WRT54G is a good one... various NetGear wireless routers are also great.

If the price is the same, definitely go for the W3V. Not only do you get a better GPU, but you also get an aluminum lid and bluetooth.

What screen issues are you referring to? As far as I know, the W3V was a great machine... and all computers have a chance of overheating. I'm sure the W3J produces just as much heat, if not more heat than the W3V.

I use the 0702 BIOS... no problems whatsoever with it. I like it because of the Asus logo.
