RMA it. I had the same problem with my 8890. It seemed to be heat related as it would only happen after awhile, and the symptoms were totally vid card overheat (graphic artifacts, etc) I sent it back, they replaced motherboard......

I do have HT enabled, but as I mentioned it's not just DAOC. It's essentially every game. I've RMA'd the system and it arrived friday. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it for me and test it in games for several hours before sending it...

Henrik mentioned in one of his previous posts that he change the mouse on his system which was causing it problems.. not ASing the CPU. Though I doubt I've made it worse. The fans run at 100% all the time while playing games.

I'll have to give Prince of Persia a shot tonight w/settings turned down. I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make, but it's worth a try. Y'know the funny thing is even 3dmark03 starts to artifact if I let it keep going.

BTW Moezy could you tell me your system config & what game settings you use? Driver versions, windows version, etc? We seem to have the same exact system config.

I have an 8890 w/HT enabled. Yes, the 8890's support them (via a BIOS option. You'll see an entry that says "Hyper-threading support enabled/disabled". Remember, HT is only an option with 3.06 & better P4 CPUs.
