Custom desktop is the better choice for gaming.

Better to tell that the gpu isn't upgreadable. Remember the time when the 7800 released. For all 6800 owner, that had to pay 2000$ for mobo swap incl. gpu. Personnally, i don't know someone that could pay 2000$ fro replacing a gpu.
