I still cant get HL2 to work.. i play it for 10 minutes and get a Memory Error.. so much for that game

Valve admitted it was there fault.. plus so many people are having this problem and everyone has completely different systems.. i have an x800xt p.e. and i tried all different drivers still no dice

I just installed HL2 to play for 20 minutes then get this Memory cannot be read error/crash.. then I go on to some forums I usually view and it is swamped with tons and tons of people with the same problem..then Valve releases a patch...
