Sager tech support has been a class act for me too. Only negative has been less than perfect english, but that has never really been a problem so far.

is it possible someone changed some settings in >tools>options ? I had to disable pictures due to some connection problems, and that made the forums look pretty weird, maybe you could play with some of those settings?

I think wuxga would be pretty close to perfect on a 17". Should be very close to wsxga+ on a 15.4" and I LOVE that resolution on my sager 3790. XGA just looks really big and clunky to me now.
