Hiya, I used ISO Commander with the Gentoo Full cd 3, after replacing the file it gives a MD5 checksum error so it seems u cant directly change the Kernel

The error is:
Kernel Panic: Unable to SYNC VFS. ANd then about block 3, 3 writing.
My drive was in PATA mode and my HT disabled. Also didnt work with no acpi=off.

oeri, I dloaded your Gentoo CD, but as soon as I boot it it gives a Kernel panick ;( and sum FS error I think.
Do I have to install the patch first, then boot with the 9860 option? Also my drive should be in PATA mode right?
