I don't think the processor in the 5500 is upgradeable. But, I know that the you can do that in the 7700
I talked to one of the guys, if you wanna upgrade the cpu you have to send it to them. (I guess just not to void the warranty)

Alienware has plenty of upgrades. Who says they have to upgrade to 256 MB? It says upgradable graphics but that doesn't mean they even have to make them, they are saying that you are able to if they make them. That's why they stopped...
