ok, was looking in device manager (devices by connection - under view) and in pci bus, it has all the pci devices. i uninstalled one of the devices, and then scan for hardware changes. then it recognized it! i thought i had success....
my motherboard is an ASUS P4P800 Deluxe
yes i'm trying to do 2 monitors. i tried the new card in a different computer and it worked, so the card does work. any ideas on what i can do?
i already have an ati all-in-wonder 9800 pro 128mb in my agp slot. i just bought a powercolor ati radeon 9250 256mb pci card. i put the new card in the first pci slot, and windows doesn't even recognize the card at all.
i would look to for any updates on the HP website. wouldn't hurt
well i want to put the most money in the motherboard, since it will be the only thing holding me back when i want to upgrade. and since i want it to last as long as possible, i'm sure i'm going to have to pay $200 or so on it
i just bought a Daewoo 17" flat panel LCD only $169.99 after rebates from www.outpost.com , but it was during president's day sale
thanks for the replies and links. keep them coming if you have more opinions.
doesn't your laptop have built-in bluetooth? my dv1040us does
if i were to build a desktop, what's the best motherboard out now, or in the near future? if i built one, it would have to last a very long time
