it's a major hassle because i'm about to move across the country and i have map software on the laptop which i'll be using. so it looks like what i'll do is send it in to be repaired once i get to LA (from DC).

now it affects the display before it's even fully opened. i spoke to their online tech support through the java IM client and they sent me some urls to the hardware maintenance manual which instructs me on how to remove the lcd and check...
