I'm sure there may be some downsides to upgrading to the A06 BIOS, but I sure do like being able to use the Stand By mode now...open the computer up and it's ready to go.

I did it from within Windows without any problems. Mine was freezing up before I did the upgrade and it hasn't done it since. Worth it for me.

I too have a new 9100 (about 2 weeks old) that locks up a little too often just after boot up. I have to disconnect the cord and the battery to kill it. It's usually fine the next time I start it up. Hard to say what's going on. I...
