all you have to do is do a search for 700m service manual. here is the index for it. go to hard drive http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...n/sm/index.htm shows you pictures and gives you instructions.
no need for proset. you can unzip the files and just update the driver. you get all the functionability of proset, without an added proggie running
they are two different laptops. now when you first posted, you didn't mention gaming. if you want to game, then yes, go after a new computer. however, again for photoshop the graphics card isn't going to make a difference. get more...

if you slipstream sp2, it will install. i'd do your av last.
it isn't embedded per se. it is you can use any mini pci card. you can use dell's 1450 if you want abg, dell 1350 for bg, intel 2200 bg.
i'm too lazy to check the bios update page, but i believe there was something worth while to update from a04 (there were some issues with usb and wireless devices and such). so i'd update. i think the newest is a07. just run windows...
