I think the 7800GTX is a lil bit faster than the 7900GS. Its got more pixel pipes, and vertex shaders. (not sure) Also the 7900 series do not fit in the M170's or the 9300's.

The 7800GTX go is still an awesome video card, is one of the best upgrades for your 9300 or XPS M170. Dunno why someone hasnt taken it off you as yet.

what resolutions are you running it at ?....with your 9300 hooked in EDIT: never mind, the 9300's should be able to power them at native resolution, i.e 1920x1200. for some reason, I thought the 2407's were able to go upto...

yea...the WXGA screens with 144x900 resolution are usually matte screens

I think he was one of those *very* few people who got a matt finish "replacement" screen. Some people consider those screens good...others dont care much for it. One thing is for sure...he's not bothered by fluorescent lights...
