yes in real-life use I read that the 7200rpm HD does make a big difference although I'm not sure how much juice it will suck, no offense, but I also read that the 7200 pulls about the same power as the 5400 so why not I say?

i'm a little dismayed maybe thr 5650 in the inspiron 8600 will perform a little better (not 5600) but I wonder how much the 50mhz overclock will help

for the speakres u need a y-splitter connector go to radioshack and they will get u the appropriate thing cost about $5
