doesn't swapping a 5400rpm hd into ur dell 8600 void the warranty? is it a complicated process anyway? how much for a 40gb 5400 rpm hd?

not sure what 2 repsonse times there mean my desktop Planar 15" LCD has a response time of 25ms (not sure if that's rise or fall) i'm assuming that 30ms is the one to watch for then?

Didn't find this anywhere.. what is the response time for the 5670 and 4760 LCDs anyone know? I posted a thread before how I noticed a certain game to play slower on the 4760 than my desktop LCD even tho both showed 60fps...I...

for what its' worth man...i'm a newcomer like u i always used 1024 on my 15" desktop lcd at home i could never imagine using a 1600 set up the other day i was at comp usa and saw a 15" uxga lcd on a compaq...

just curious what the battery life for the 5680 would be using the dual setup i'm hoping for 3-3.5 hours with moderate use (no gaming, maybe word processing + a few apps + IE)

ditto i 'felt up' the compaq at cusa too...seemed very shiny for some reason unfortunately i'm waiting for the 4680, which will only be wxga, so no shiny for me!
