performance is nice to have but alot of people just use their laptops for email, internet, office apps and movies. If you need more power than go for it, if not then smaller is usually better.
you have to take the plastic housing off the original drive that came with the 700m then remove the PCB from the back. Pop it in the new drive put the housing on that one and it should work. No telling if the front bezel will line...

I was bummed when they removed that nglayout command from the newer versions of Firefox, I had no idea that you could just add it back in.

I put the Panasonic UJ-825-B in my 700m, Newegg had it a few weeks ago but it's not even listed anymore so they must be sold out for good.
