my connection has been rock solid with my 700m/Intel 2200. I'm using the windows wireless networking, didn't want to bother with the Intel software.

MAC filtering is a must, I don't bother using WEP or disabling my SSID anymore since it causes random drops. And people at the very least need to change the router login password.

You just need to find a stronger signal, I can pick up about 10 in my neighborhood, only 1 or 2 of them are strong enough to actually be usable though. But seriously just get a nice 802.11b router, you can find them for less than $20...

looks good, I've done the 7K60 upgrade on mine. I've heard that the 12" Shinza fits the 700m with the 8 cell battery like a glove. I just ordered one myself but haven't received it yet.
