I'm just wondering why people are selling their Sagers. Are there issues, is it not meeting expectations, etc? Does it not run games as well as you hoped?
why is everyone selling their Sager's?
I called Sager directly today. They indicated that they would start shipping on Monday/Tuesday of next week. The batch of 5680's they have right now are being tested before shipping.
I heard from a different vendor that Sager won't be shipping until the 12th..... I wonder if it's true.
In your opinion, it will run fine? I'm happy to run a game in 1152x1028 if necessary (it's what I use now). If there's any question, I'm willing and happy to go to the UXGA (especially if it's THAT much better!). Tim
Divine, Text editing? Don't most games (that I've seen) have a choice of resolutions in the game setup? Or are you talking about editing something else?
The problem is, I think the 8890 has a better UXGA and the 5680 i'm looking at has SXGA+ (1400x).
I'd love the wide angle, but I'm not a big fan of having my desktop be tiny. That's the main reason I was looking at the SXGA+ as an alternative.
What is everyone's experience? Is an SXGA+ LCD good for gaming? I both game and develop games, so it's integral that it looks pretty decent. What are the issues with the SXGA+ I read about because it's not a standard resolution?
