Again, something isn't set right if you call the sound weak. The subwoofer can be felt by your right hand resting on the laptop playing an mp3 at low/medium level.
The gpu fan noise is negligible. The bulk of the noise comes from the pair of cpu fans.

There is a subwoofer as well, which does pretty good with bass. Its on the underside around the top-right corner of the touchpad.
There are 4 speakers, but they are not 4.1 speakers. 2ch is the correct setting.

Open a windows explorer (not internet explorer) window. Go to Tools>Folder Options. Click the View tab, and check the box for Hide Extensions of known file types.
MobMeter also reads hard drive temps. I don't know for sure about the X800 or the GDDR3 6800, but the DDR 6800 does not have a temperature sensor.
