I'm running the fix provided by Luke on page 2. Both fans are running, I'm not sure what speed. (Is there low, med, high or just low, high?) They are audible, but barely so. I'd say it really just comes down to personal preference and...
Is MobileMeter supposed to record the GPU temperature? I downloaded it and it only reads my cpu temperature. (Idling at a nice cool 40C since the new fan update)
