I also have a 700m w/ the philips cdrw/dvd cdd5263 burner, and I just installed Nero 6 oem suite 3. I then downloaded the 6.6.0.16 update from http://ww2.nero.com/enu/nero-up.php and burned a test cd. Everything works like a champ.

AFAIK, unless the monitor was purchased with a system the warranty is_not transferable.
