for 1500 i configered a desktop with a athlon 64 bit(not the fx) i went to http://www.zipzoomfly.com and just got all the parts i needed and it came out to like 1,496.But if you are looking for a new monitor then maybe this isnt the best...

The only worry I have about the one with the 9700 Pro is that the power supply in it isn't amazing and I couldn't overclock it. Do you think I could still overclock even though the power supply isn't that good?

i would buy it if i didnt already have a good graphics card.But i got to say that is a damn good price for that card.

yea thats true exspecially since i would be fine with a 9600pro for a long time.And if the 9700pro gets outdated by that time ill pick the 9800 or a newer card.

i have looked at benchmarks at the 9800pro is a lot better but it isnt amazingly better.

yea i agree the 9700pro is fine for anything now and later.I am not gona play doom definatly half life two though and that will be fine not to mention in 8 years when halflife comes out the graphics wont be intense lol.
