Send it back to get fixed. Shipping companies are not known for their "kindness" in handling packages friend. Anything could have happened. Give Alienware a chance to remedy the problem.
Channel is great. I wish some more of the forum regulars would pop in to hang out. We have a lot of fun there. Well as much fun as one could have in an irc room.
I recall seeing that associated with some old school virus. I don't know where it originated from though. I will have to google and cheat.
