yes, when you order it with the os installed you only get a recovery disk, that and the fact that you have more controll over the install are reasons i chose to order my 8890 without the operating system
i get the same problem with the keyboard not responding every once and a while after i get to the xp login screen, i even checked the connections, but no dice, i just give it a restart or two until it works...
