I used to be a big proponent of conditioning batteries until recently...I am only getting about 30-45 minutes of battery life lately on my 8887 which should be getting about 2 hours. So I would so no, don't mess with cycling the battery.

Yeah, some of this sounds like software problems. I know this seems like a generic answer but before you decide to RMA it you should back your files up and reformat.

If you really want the stickers you could find some on ebay although I think it's hardly worth the effort.

It might not replicate stereo on both the speakers and the headphones. I used to do this with a portable cd player and two sets of headphones so I know it works but again, the stereo thing might be a problem.

LCD manufacturers aren't making them very much any more, if at all.
