5400 vs 7200 is a huge difference. I had the 5400 in my M70 and now have the 7200 in my 9300. I can tell a huge difference when hitting the harddrive (loading 3dmark05 files, loading WoW, etc). I would advise getting the 7200 hard drive.

I would doubt there is a lose connection on this many laptops. If so, Dell really has some QA issues.

You can tell uneven whites on mine. When I am viewing this forum fonts in the middle of the screen are white whereas fonts in the bottom are gray. Really annoying.
