try using the 'open link target in ie' plugin
here is what worked for me data revovery basically, i put the my hard drive in the freezer for about 4 hours and then was able to ghost the image onto a new hard drive. good luck, i know you are probably in as much of a panic...
try disabling the setting in the bios.
