the wireless in my 8890, via pcmcia card, so long as my ethernet 10/100/1000 card is disabled... works great

go for 8890.. duh!

if the 16" was still available, i'd go with the 8890 (its what i have...) while its not exactally everyday portable, i take it with me to classes etc about 3 days a week...

and... i did the back of the lcd... pics soon to follow

i did the desktop using 2 programs... object dock and winmac u can also use object bar... to get the same effect as winmac

i haven't done the back of the lcd yet... but... perhaps i will work on that now... hell, i'll make it into a rough tutorial... it should take less than an hour... here we go

and there is also a program on that site for the object dock at the bottom that i can't live without http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/

there is a freeware thing, you just get a pop-up once a day... http://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar/

i ask b/c mine looks similar but i do not have the icons on the right of the mac osX bar at the top
