redhat 9.0
found this at http://natura.di.uminho.pt/~jac/deli...ompaq2500.html
but I have some questions and troubles
how do I know I install the right version ? just tryed the 20021212-2.4.2.0
but at patch -p1...
I think that it has to do something with the chip I guess.
Mine is from Texas Instruments.
I think vanilla is redhat 8.0.
I tryed linux redhat 7.2, 8.0 and 9.0 and they all failed at the firewire.
How I fixed it.
Like you said, changed the grub.conf and added nofirewire.
(that made him to not load the drivers)
I just renamed the ohi1394.o file in the kernel....
jep, installation was good,
but, how do I start up ?
he hangs now when I boot up , also because he starts to loading the drivers for the firewire
How to change that ?
problem: every linux distribution I want to install fails
the system hangs
redhat: system hangs when loading ohci 1394 driver (firewire)
