My 700m shipped today, when Dell sent me an email saying that it would ship around November 16th. There is hope for some of you..
My 700m moved into the boxing stage today, which makes me think that the email this morning saying that it wouldn't be shipped until around November 16th was not true.

The 765 is 2.1 GHz and is the same version as your 2 GHz 755 (both are Dothan). It is completely compatible with your i8600, however, you wouldn't notice any difference if you upgraded.

The 9700 and 9800 are for the the i9100 and XPS. The Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo is the best available graphics card for the i8600.
