weird question, but on my i8600 when i "tap" the edges of the LCD the light kinda flickers a bit (not a lot just a small amount), what about anyones elses?? and all these 9600 vs 5650 reviews are depressing me, what happend to...
i got it with home and then reformatted and put pro on, worked flawlessly, gotta give dell credit for their drivers cd they send with the lappy i love it so easy!!
just got my 8600 today too, identical specs as yours. i love it. doesnt get hot at all. a little warm but nothing serious by any means. i think its very pretty, and after reinstalling xp on it so i had pro and taking all dell crap off...

DX 9, just becuase its on your computer doesnt mean you have to use it. you can run direct x 8 through the latest direct x 9 release, and it wont change performance. just becuase you have the capabilities doesnt mean you have to use em....
