Oh yea...I run HL2 on my Compal CL56 laptop @ 1024x768 with 2x AA (I think) and it runs silky smooth. The only times I've had slowdown is when the screen is completely covered with particles.

Yea...but GPU's from the GF2 era (which wasn't that long ago) and the current crop of GPU's is alot different.
