Well, If you have made the recovery disks, that would put the laptop back in "out of box " condition and it would restore everything, so the webcam as well..however, having said that, that would mean re-installation of all MS Updates...

An operating system on a hard drive for another brand laptop will not work in the Acer...As mentioned, you need restore disks for the Acer, or you need an OEM copy of whatever operating system came with the Acer (you didnt say)..even if...

I wouldnt think that it would work given that they are two different manufacturers..different drivers, components etc..now, if you had the recovery disks for the Acer and formatted the HD, then used the recovery disks, you would be good...

Have you done any googling for "Asus G51 processor upgrade"..you will find lots of other people who have upgraded and lots of talk about it...like this one...

70-80C is probably a good safe bet for prolonged gaming..100C would probably fry the unit..just ensure that the laptop is being used where the vents/fans are not being blocked..

If you are new to computers as you mentioned, you're upgrade list may be a little too ambitious...not anything like desktops, and, if there is any warranty remaining on your laptop, it would certainly be voided...

That is why you should have made your restore disks when you bought the computer...dont know why people put it off...see this too many times
