That is why you should have made your restore disks when you bought the computer...dont know why people put it off...see this too many times
My mistake, for whatever reason, I was thinking Optical drive....sorry for the stupid question...lol
Wondering why you are reinstalling OS...
Are you using your laptop on a soft surface or on a desk..I f you are blocking the fan vents, that would be causing the heat problem..Is the Operating system as it came from the factory, or did you reload
Any jostling of the laptop between appearing and disappearing again..wondering if it may be a loose conneciton
Did a google search for Acer aspire 4535G service manual and found this...and others..havent tried it...give it a shot ((http://www.manualowl.com/p/Acer%20Computers/Aspire-4535/Manual/65482))
Just wonder if you have googled this problem as I see quite a few queries with the same problem..did you try this: ((http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/1/helproom/332438/acer-aspire-7520-dvd-drive-problem/))
When you put the thermal paste on, follow the directions..a case of too much is no good...just a very tiny dab and spread about...thoroughly clean those fins and the fan blades before reassembly..can of compressed air is best for that
Yeah, it makes a big difference when using these laptops that they are on a solid surface so as to not obstruct the vents...that causes serious overheating..along with dust/hairbuildup
Is this any help ((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSe1VDVohYQ))
