well i thought a lot and went ahead with the 100GB momentus .. mainly cause its realiability and the speed of 7200RPM brings in more heat... the fujitsu is fast enough for most things - a hitachi wont make a significant difference -...

you should get it cleaned ...preferably from someone who knows their stuff i had that problem once when an ant got stuck in a memory card reader - got it out from a cotton sob
