Got it figured out. And the answer should have been obvious. A 'friend' adjusted my PowerMiser setting to Minimum performance while plugged in. No wonder I couldn't get any frame rate. It's all good now. Idle CPU temp around 40-42 C

Yup. Had them mod my m/b to switch from the GO 6600 to an Ultra 6800. You get a new year worth of warranty on the mobo I think. I'm seriously thinking about getting the 7900 512. No problems. baldman
