One of the best avi edittors is virtualdub. It is free, and has a plugin architecture similiar to photoshop. Get all the codecs you need first....divx, and xvid - and any other video, or audio codecs you need....including whatever codec...

Jebus, are you sure about that? All that would be needed is the proper HAL - one single file. I don't think MS is looking to retire Win2K just yet, and all the P4's from 2.4 ghz on up have HT now. Perhaps SP4 has it...I ordered my 8890...

The poor man's version of Vegas is called Video Factory v2. It's Vegas lite with a three audio track limit, and less transistions...but basically it is Vegas v4. Cost about 90$ USD Oh yeah...it's made by Sonic Foundry too...the makers...

I wouldn't waste your time looking for 18-24' screens. Any projector with only 1100 lumens won't be able to project that big an image and have enough brightness to see the image. I've seen 10-30K projectors that can barely do 10-12 feet...

Last time I looked FCP was bundled for a reduced price - otherwise it's $1000 USD for the program....you including that in your 2K price?

Hi, this is my first post to this forum. Imagine my suprise that this plaace even existed! I ordered the 8890 all decked out, and I'm curious if anyone has run any video transcoding, encoding benchmarks yet? For example; in Flask how...
