Well I received my 5680. Got the stuff installed and have used it for a few days now. Luckily I do not have any dead pixels. I really like the machine, its plenty fast, etc etc. But let me get to the paint.
The paintjob is superb....
I did what you did. I ordered my 5680 without internal wifi, but that was because I planned on a PCMCIA with a pigtail. Then I learned about mini PCI and I looked into Orinoco cards, but they seemed a tad expensive. Well I still wanted...
I would like to add, no dead pixels (from what I've seen so far). I also got my DefCon1 (an anti-theft device) today, so yea gots lots of goodies to play with.
W00t! Got my silver/green. Initial thoughts on paintjob (will post pics later, but gotta go soon):
Green is pretty dominant, but then I've only seen it in indoor light settings. But its not like only one shade of green. I think that...
Yea, it definitely could have been neater, but I was going for understandability over tight code. I was actually wondering if somebody would notice that I forgot the #includes. Lol.
I'll be sure to post pix once I get the lappy. Right now I'm pushing father Time to move faster, about to pull out the whip if he doesn't pick up the pace. Geez. It needs to be Friday NOW. lol.
Woohoo! Ordered Silver-Green 5680, and after 329,808,902,934 years, I finally got the tracking number! According to UPS, it should be here Friday! W00t! Man I can't wait!
Btw, joking about the "329,808,902,934 years" thing...
But then where's the fun of applying it yourself, getting it all over your fingers, and the accomplishment of a job well done? Well maybe don't do it on a lappy, but definitely do it yourself on a desktop.
