I would go through your windows services and shut down extraneous and unneccissary ones. Services like the disk indexing service can really chew up cpu.

I have had similar problems with the pro duo memory. I was using an adapter for a Sandisk 256 meg card. I plugged it into the slot, and it displayed fine at first. Explorer showed the images that were on the card. I did a copy paste from...
just curious, but if i set my 9860 into standby mode, is it safe to close the lid and haul it with me somewhere? I don't hear anything moving, no fans or anything, so I assume it's okay to move it around and go mobile with it, right?...
