Well, I would love to be posting some pics of my new 24" Dell monitor as well, but unfortunately I don't have a digital camera at the moment. I will say that I agree entirely with ilCacciatore about this monitor being amazing....

The difference in performance from the extra memory is more than it is from the extra cpu speed. It's also a question of what's more cost-effective. At the moment it seems like 1.8GHz (or 1.86 for sonoma) is the sweet spot for CPU power....
Maybe... but the XPS is the best gaming laptop available at the moment, given that it's the only one with the 6800 Ultra.
Or the iBook because of price. With an educational discount, you can get a 12" iBook for about $1k with a decent amount of memory and HD space. I don't think Alienware acknowledges the existence of prices that low
I think that the Powerbook 17" is 1440x900, or something about that.
