I agree... I got my wife one of the C712NR's during the Staples Black Friday for I think $349 for school - popped in 2GB of RAM and Vista has run fine the past 6 months. No surprises, not a single problem, and it's been used all over...

OK - serious subject now. Does CP see dual cores as 2 CPU's like it does with Intel's hyper-threading? As in, taskmgr shows (2) processors and utilization graphs? My HP servers at the office, dual Xeon's with HT, show 4...

It's for remote controlling of the DVD playing functions, ie, play, stop , pause, change tracks, and volume up/down, mute, etc... T
Notebook Hardware Control, or RMClock, or something similar, will help. You get pretty specific on how you want the laptop to behave when on AC, and when on battery. T
