argh! rolled back to 8, but i think the chipset update has some of the 9 business included...it was a chore getting back to 8 this time, and i'm still getting drops down to 1 Mbps (although it's not as lethargic when it does drop as it...
installed the chipset update (installer just didn't like my wireless connection being open for some reason)...and i still get the drops to 1Mbps...this is ricockulous...back to 8.1...again!!!!

GAR! rolled back to 8.1, but i'm still getting wacky performance, though not as bad as with 9...the chipset driver installer just crashes on me...my machine should be new enough to have those drivers in anyway...this is quite...
yeah, i agree...the old icon was good, but the interface was clumsy...new interface is much slicker, but the icon is just goofy...i couldn't deal with that thing in my tray, so i let windows handle the connection...having fewer problems...
i just started having the drop to 1mbit problem myself...things were going so swimmingly with the 9s too...but this is just ridiculous...i'll wait an extra 2 seconds at startup to get the wireless connection rather than have it randomly...
same here...my side buttons control asusdvd...i got a cordless mouse from logitech that functions as a remote for media as well...i really like it...has button to open a media player (customizable, mine opens winamp)...volume, ff, rew,...
