Well, I am into gaming and I dont consider getting a wireless mouse. Although the MX1000 is nice, it is clearly too expensive. So I will most likely get/recommend the MX510.

Actually, on a dark (especially black) background- the center portion (about 1/4 of the screen) would light up with small green dots which would just at one place. If these arent dead pixels, what are they?

I only ordered 512 dual channel with my 9300 and 256 geforce 6800. I dont plan to have multiple apps. running so that should be enough for HL2 right?

yes, it was more than a 100; all accumulated in the center for some reason. I was very dissappointed...thats why i ordered an inspiron 9300. BUT the shipping date is insane- MARCH 30 !
