I've never heard of CPU whine. Just for kicks, try changing the BIOS to reduce hdd noise. I've definitely seen Windows hit the virtual memory during scrolling, so it's possible that's what's happening. Also, double check and put the...
I read somewhere that Dell would be offering LED backlight on the m1530 in the future. Agreed, 2.6ghz is not worth the 325. I thought the 2.4 was worth it though, but if money was tight, I'd certainly get more memory and the 2.2 or even...
hmmm, thanks for the info. I was planning on waiting to use Vista until hell froze over. I hope you find solutions. Mine won't be here for a couple weeks so I can't help figure things out. What about using XP drivers for the 1520?

Try using a program called PowerStrip to add and configure a resolution for your notebook. I used this before to get a sharper, lower than actual resolution out of notebooks. Most likely you can get a much better display than what the...
I just ordered a 1520 with the $300 discount. (Comes out cheaper than a Dell outlet with same specs). I don't see any particular improvement in the 1525. Do you? http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/prod...b=highlighttab
