I also had problems with my 5672. First I got some sort of double image flicker - two images of the desktop simultaneously on screen and flickering contstantly. That happened once. Then it locked up on me about 5 times when playing games...

Thanks for the quick and helpful replies. Just finished running a few passes of memtest.. no errors found. Though after I stuck the Kingston stick back in I still get the same exact problems, without it there are absolutely no errors,...

So I just picked up a 512MB stick of Kingston DDR2 RAM to add to my Thinkpad T43. At first everything was working fine. I recall now that after the first reboot with the newly installed ram I started to have all sorts of problem....

Just picked up a 5672 and very happy with it so far but I was wondering, is there a difference in the build quality of the case between the Aspire and Travelmate series? Besides the keyboard and slot load drive the 4674 looks identical...

Mines a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-845S. Used some cheapo Playo and other discs that only burned at 2x. Now I am using Nero with TDK 16X DVD+R media, white inkjet printable and it burns at 8X, takes about 10 minutes for a 4.7GB.

CPU is at 55c and HD at 45c , guess its the norm but considering a lapcool2. I miss my Thermalright+Panaflo desktop that ran at 30c.
